Courses are held in a very well equipped and long established working studio pottery. The aim of these courses is to give people a better understanding of design, the raw materials and the production technique of a ceramic piece. These are activity breaks to take a step outside yourself and get away from the everyday hustle and bustle of modern living.
The coursestake place in a traditional farmhouse set on peaceful grounds in the heart of the West Cork countryside close to the award winning seaside town of Clonakilty (15 min drive) with it's beautiful beaches, large choice of restaurants, pubs and live music, with a refreshing relaxed atmosphere.

One Day Taster Courses - Beginner > Raku - Participant can learn to decorate, fire and take home a pot. While your pots are in the kiln try your skills on the Potters Wheel. Short Courses (3 days) - Novice * > Kiln building - We will show you how to build a simple small kiln
using kiln bricks and light weight ceramic fibre,so you can use this skill to build your own kiln. > Investigating & Making New Clay mixes- Participants will learn
throwing, coilingand using paper clay with additives.
Master Courses (7-10 days) - Experienced* > Aimed at the more experienced ceramicist to include using many
different pieces of equipment to develop their own ideas over the period with the help of expert tuition.
